The luxurious new Leo Casino in Queens Dock is open to the public on Dec. 12. Around 120 jobs have been created at the glass rotunda-front casino, which is owned and operated by Amury Taitinger, a French champagne mogul. His family owns the nearby Dolby Hotel and Campanile Hotel.
Mr. Taitinger, 52, said, "I see this as a recreational attraction, not just a meeting of serious gamblers in a windowless room. We have created a lot of brightness and light to make sure that casinos meet the standards that the new Liverpool is expecting."

Leo Casino has a 60-seat restaurant, and European chefs work until midnight when a Chinese chef takes over.
